Earthquake Preparedness Town Hall

Earthquakes are an inevitable part of California’s future and what we do now, before a big earthquake, will determine what our lives will be like afterwards.
Please join me for an Earthquake Preparedness Town Hall in recognition of the upcoming Great California Shake Out – the largest-ever earthquake drill in the world.
This town hall will include an expert panel from the Southern California Earthquake Center, the California Office of Emergency Services, the Torrance Fire Department & Office of Emergency Services, and finally, the Torrance Police Department. This event will include the Shakey Quakey earthquake simulator which is designed to educate children about how to prepare for and stay safe during an earthquake.
