Subject: Impeachment Eve Rally: Tuesday Dec 17, 4:30PM

The judiciary committee has approved two articles of impeachment- Abuse of Power, and Obstruction of Congress.  Across the nation, groups will be gathering for a nationwide set of events- family-friendly, public gatherings to demonstrate to our lawmakers that their constituents are behind them to defend the Constitution—and that Trump has left them no alternative to uphold their oath of office but to support impeachment and removal.

We’ll meet in the parking lot at the northeast corner of Hawthorne & Sepulveda, and spread out along the sidewalk, where we’ll get plenty of visibility from rush hour traffic and holiday shoppers.

It will get dark pretty quickly- sunset will be at 4:47PM, so try to figure out how to make your signs visible at night.  (clip-on-lights, glow-in-the-dark markers or paint, etc).

Subject: Rally on Tuesday for impeachment

We’re taking to the streets on Tuesday to demand Congress impeach and remove our criminal-in-

It is official: The House is expected to vote on Wednesday on the articles of impeachment against Donald Trump.

The Nobody Is Above the Law mobilizations will take place on Tuesday, December 17 at 5:30 p.m. local time, the eve of this pivotal vote. Together, we will form the closing arguments for the House to impeach Trump and call on the Senate to remove him.

RSVP now to one of the 500+ events happening across the country to demand Congress impeach and remove Trump from office. Check your local event to affirm the date and time. If there is no event scheduled near you, consider hosting one! MoveOn will help every step of the way and recruit fellow members to attend.

This is a historic moment. Only two presidents have ever been impeached. The impeachment inquiry has laid out clear evidence of Trump bribing a foreign government to interfere in our elections and obstructing justice when trying to hide his crimes from Congress and the American people.

Don’t sit on the sidelines. Join the tens of thousands of people at Nobody Is Above the Law events on Tuesday, December 17, to ensure members of Congress can’t ignore the public outpouring of support for impeachment right before they vote.

The wave of news headlines and photos of fired up constituents before the House impeachment vote will send a clear signal to senators that we’re watching and expecting them to uphold their oath of office as the impeachment process moves to the Senate.

This is our only chance. Congress is unlikely to try to hold Trump accountable for his abuses of power again. So don’t miss this opportunity to ensure your voice is heard. RSVP now to an event near you.

Thanks for all you do.

Subject: Important information for tonight’s Impeachment Eve rally- please read

It looks like we may well have several hundred people at tonight’s event. There are no planned speeches- the activity plan is to spread out along the sidewalk going north on Hawthorne, and display our signs to passing traffic, and engage in appropriate songs/chants/etc.  This is just a public display to demonstrate to Congress that impeachment has broad support.

A few important notes:   (1)  It will get dark shortly after we start. Wear light-colored clothing, and bring small flashlights if you can.  (2)  We must stay on the sidewalk, and not step into the street or obstruct traffic  (3)  Try to make your signs glow-in-the-dark, or have small booklights on the signs if at all possible  (4) There may be media present- it’s certainly OK to talk to them.  But my suggestion is that our tone should be the same as set by Speaker Pelosi- serious, with a somber recognition that Trump has forced this impeachment with his willful abuse of power.

Last, and perhaps most important- it’s possible that there will be counter-protestors there tonight trying to disrupt us- DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THEM!  If they are present, they will be looking for a reaction from us- our job is to ignore them, and especially do not engage in any physical contact with them.  We have been working with Torrance PD in planning this event, and they will be on alert. As long as disruptors are just exercising their 1st amendment rights, the police will not get involved. If they go beyond that to try to engage any of us physically, police will step in.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight.  Please pass this information on to others who are also attending (because I know everyone won’t see this email in time)

Let’s gather tonight in community and solidarity, to make our voices heard in support of our country, our freedoms, and the rule of law!

Reminder of location:  Hawthorne & Sepulveda Blvds. – 4:30
