The theme for this month’s meeting is Post-Trump Era (error) and the New Biden-Harris Administration

Michael Hiltzik, LA Times business columnist and blogger, will talk about the post-Trump era, the new Biden-Harris administration, and his latest ruminations.   His LA Times writings cover such varied topics as the lethal nature of science denial, Uber and Lyft’s denying their drivers are employees but are essential workers, the AMA opposing surprise medical billing, and Trump’s vandalism of women’s reproductive healthcare.

Michael Hiltzik shared  the 1999 Pulitzer Prize with colleague Chuck Philips for articles exposing corruption in the entertainment industry.  His latest book, published in May 2020 is Iron Empires:  Robber Barons, Railroads, and the Making of Modern America.
