Our good friend David Lombard is still at it, refurbishing donated, unwanted laptops which he then gives to local children and families in need. He is presently busy in his workshop readying a large number of recently donated laptops, but the demand exceeds his current supply! So, if you recently received a gift of (or otherwise acquired) a new computer, consider donating the old one to “The Laptop Elf Project.” You will be helping those in need with an essential tool for improving their lives. For more information and how to donate, please click here , and thank you!
Dear Members,
It has been my great honor to serve as President of the Beach Cities Democrats. This time honored organization is the ground floor of the Democratic Party and a welcoming gateway to greater Party and community involvement.
There is no clearer expression of the maxim “all politics is local” than the mission statement of our organization.
We have seen local Democrats ascend to the Congress of the United States and occupy the seat of Speaker of the Assembly in our state legislature. Club officers have been elected to local office and appointed to important leadership positions in local organizations.
Taking responsibility for the Beach Cities Democrats means making a commitment to develop our Democratic base here at home. It’s a commission to build and rebuild our outreach and engagement with every election cycle.
It is my distinct pleasure to pass the baton to new leadership of this organization, and it is my sincere wish that they have the support they need to increase our presence here in the South Bay.
The question of what the Democrats will do must start with what will I do? Right here, right now, we are the Democratic Party.
Tony Hale, President, Beach Cities Democrats
