December Newsletter

President’s Message

Dear members,

Welcome to our first ever electronic newsletter! It’s not much different from an email. In fact, it is an email. But it will also be archived on our website. From now on, this is how you can expect to receive newsletters!

I’m keeping my message short and sweet here this month because we have two very important actions at play—doing what you can to help Georgia AND making sure you request your ADEMS ballot. See below!

Happy Holidays and pleeeeease stay inside,

Jessica Accamando

ADEMS Elections

EVERYONE MUST REQUEST A BALLOT!

Each assembly district has the opportunity to send 7 women and 7 men to represent them to the state party. The job of delegates is to vote at the convention for head of the party, platform and policies. The delegate with the highest number of votes who has opted to be considered will be chosen as Executive Board member—Tony Hale would like to continue in that role.

The procedure is CLICK HERE to request a ballot

You will then receive a confirmation from the party with a unique number that you will need to save and put on your ballot

Ballots will be sent out by mail Dec or early Jan and will need to be returned by mail by a date in Jan. Before the ballots are received, Tony can update you with our full slate.

We both hope to have the support of the Beach Cities members as these elections are won or lost by 2 or 3 votes!

Message from your Editor, Moira

As your longtime newsletter editor, I just want to include my sincere thanks to all those stalwart members and officers who have helped me put this newsletter out all year (and before!). Without your columns, minutes, Treasurer’s reports, and other content, we would not have had a newsletter. These include (but are not limited to): Jessica Accamando, Tony Hale, Andrea Valcourt, Edna Murphy, Mark Drabkin, Dency Nelson, and Bobbi Buescher. We do not have a meeting in December, so I look forward to working with you all in 2021. Onward!
